Breakfast, June 14

[Announcements! Friday morning at breakfast, Chiron rises with a cough to get the attention of the campers.]
It's come to my attention that some of you have expressed interest in a trip to the city. While it is supremely dangerous, it might be for the best that you learn to test your skills in the real world.
The summer solstice is a week from today, and the Olympian Council with it. The gods feel it would be an educational experience for all of you to attend and see why they have been so busy since your appearance, since some of you have also become concerned with their lack of... [He searches for a word] presence in your life. I think, then, that it would be acceptable for the camp to leave early on Thursday morning so you could spend the day in the city.
But this isn't without rules! You must stay in groups of three or four and be on your guard--even the Mist can't cover everything, so you will need to prevent as much damage as you can. You must be back at Olympus by 10PM. You must be armed with a Celestial Bronze blade you can hide on your person, but you must not get into fights with mortals. You can not for any reason use any telephones. You must wear your camp shirt so we can find you easily. [And then he gives a long-suffering sigh.] You must not stand around in the Greek and Roman of the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit pointing to pottery and saying "that is my mother or father." That is expressly forbidden, and I do not want to have to explain you to security.
[Mr. D gives a very un-godly scoff at that. Apparently, he remembers this occasion.]
We'll be returning to camp on the evening of the 23rd directly from Olympus. If there are any questions, I'll be at the archery range, preparing for lessons.
[He leaves you now to make plans amongst yourself.]
