[While Tybalt is not usually a patient person, he hates looking like a fool. So he's actually taken a couple of days just to look around the camp and listen to other Iris messages and such. That hasn't made him a happier Tybalt, by any means]

All right. Assuming everything we've been told is true - and I'm not saying I believe that - I've got just one question. How does one get one's supposedly godly parent to get off of his ass and actually tell me who I belong to? Because there are too many idiots in the Hermes cabin, and I'm getting a wee bit annoyed. Which means someone's getting personal with my knife real soon if we can't get this sorted out.

[He draws his dagger to demonstrate]

And when are we going to get to do something real? I'm bored here.

Please. You make it sound like you've never encountered anyone with attitude before. And I know for a fact there are those here ruder than I.

After all, I'm not making threats I'm not willing to follow through on.

No, I'm fairly certain threatening to stab people wins the rudeness contest handily.

I have encountered people with an attitude like yours before. One of them ended up with his leg broken, trampled by aliens, and dismissed from his post because he tried to stave my friend's head in.

Well, I think primarily it boils down to the fact that he objected to himself, me, and two others being dissected.

I'm willing to fight, that doesn't mean I want to dissect anyone for the fun of it. Besides, I don't know why you're so uptight about it, the horse-man says they can heal nearly anything.

That doesn't mean you get to go around stabbing people for fun. Especially people you're supposed to be living with.

You did listen to the bit where regular steel doesn't work on monsters, didn't you?

Well, then people shouldn't piss me off, and I won't have to stab anyone. And they said steel works just fine on fellow demigods.

I do wish they hadn't said that. You know, everyone here was so nice before you turned up.

[Ssil has a fairly broad definition of nice, and hasn't met all the campers, but the point stands.]

You could try reactions to being annoyed that don't involve stabbing people. We have training grounds, go fight a dummy. You might get some conversation on your level.

You mean things were so boring. Because for all the talk of monsters, this place is obnoxiously prosaic.

And there is little satisfaction to be had fighting something that can not fight back.

Ssilissa, daughter of Hermes. Mostly I'm no one in particular, I just happen to be protective of the other people staying in my cabin and would prefer no one get stabbed.

[And is trying not to actually make direct threats, in the vain hope that this will somehow get through Tybalt's skull.]

And if you don't want anyone to get stabbed, just make sure no one tries to mess with me. Or my stuff.

As I recall, this conversation started with you threatening to stab someone just because you were bored and stuck in a crowded cabin like everyone else.

I have been called that in the past.

Not everyone is stuck here. I'm not blind, there are people in other cabins. I wanted to know how to get out of this one.

I meant in the camp generally. But if you're so insistent, the way to get out of the cabin is to be recognized by your divine parent.

And without knowing who they are beforehand it's hard to say what might make it more likely, before you ask.
