A smallish pale girl appears on the system, moving around somewhat frantically near the various cabins with a look that is 1 part confusion, 1 part anxiety, and 4 parts annoyance and 4 parts whatever that look Mr. Scott had when Captain Kirk told him to rewrite the laws of physics in 15 minutes.

"Um, look. I'm sure whatever is going on is really important here but I was kind of in the middle of something back home. Something involving restoring a destroyed planetary power system before life support on something completely fails and given how I only sort of LOOKED at it for about a minute and most of the best parts are under the sea I really don't have a lot of time for this right now. After I get it up sure, bring me and MY SEIBZEHN here and we'll step on ANYTHING you want but you just brought me and I'm not so useful for squishing things alone."

"I understand you want to make it personal by saying my dad is one of the people here but I do kind of know my family, even if we were separated most of my life. Really, just let me finish my project and just ask, home will probably be unbearably dull once I get the Zohar reactor working again anyways so it'll be a welcome diversion."

Her face turns a bit more irritated at the next part.

"Unless this is some sort of gag Mr. One Eyed Pirate King! I know you're the one who bonked me over the head and drug me out before I could get a better look at that system to get it back online despite the city crashing. Don't think for one minute that if this is some sort of gag and I find you behind it I won't BEAT THE EVER-LOVING SNOT OUT OF YOUR ONE REMAINING GOOD EYE!"

Later Maria is sitting by the water looking miserable. She's playing with her watch, pushing every damn button on the thing.

"Yeah yeah... No carrier. Seibzehn, I know you have to have power. Please come in. Dad had to have put in his own reactor or something. C'mon, you can't do this to me! You always come. Maybe some sort of jamming I need to figure out how to defeat. Oh who are you kidding Balthasar, the power grid is down and you're some place weird."

She buries her head in her knees and keeps pressing the button getting lower with every non-receptive beep she gets.

If it's something from home, I'm afraid you probably won't pick up a signal. It isn't here.

"We've been together since I was... Forever. I have to get back! To save him! Before power is gone!"

She pushes another button, the small antennae on it retracting.

"RIGHT! Who's shins do I have to kick to get that to happen?"

I don't think it will be that easy. Mr. D told me that it was likely we'd be able to go home once we found the missing demigods, but...

[She shakes her head.] In the mean time, it's entirely possible time isn't passing where we're from.

"They brought me.... Without my Seibzehn.... Idiots."

She shakes her head and scowls.

"Together we were the Angel of Shevat, the pilot that challenged Solaris and won. Me. I'm worthless alone."

She flops back down and sighs.

"This has to be one of Bart's hair brained ideas."

[Fuu takes the moment to sit next to her.]

You aren't worthless. And things are a little different here than they were at home, for all of us. We don't have our powers, or specialized weapons or armor or even our teammates, but we're not worthless.

"What's a pilot without her robot? Or without a factory to build one?"

Before I ever piloted a Mashin, or even used a sword, I found my worth in learning and understanding the world around me. There's much more to worth than fighting.

"I don't see any flying cities, or gate generators, or even really anything other than that forge building they told me to stay in. So there's nothing to fix or maintain either... That and that sure looks like a bow you have there."

Of course. I'm training--It wouldn't do me any good to be unprepared when we leave the camp. I've helped fight one of the monsters they told us about and the person I fought alongside nearly lost his life. [NTS: Do not ever say that around Nic but jfc he was bleeding all over.] But that still doesn't determine my worth.

"I've been a hostage and then a pilot. Its all I know really, and if I don't get home before life support fails on my Seibzehn then... I don't really know."

She grumbles and shakes her head.

"Stupid having to link a mad god to the planet's power grid."

Like I said, it's entirely possible that you'll be returned to the time you left your world. I know it's hard and it will take some time getting used to, but... We're all stuck at camp, now.

"So who's bright idea was it to make a camp and put monsters in it anyways? I mean aren't there defensive gears on the boarder to keep them out?"

It's magic, actually, from what I understand. Monsters can't cross the border at all.

"Great... Ether stuff."

She rubs her head a bit.

"I'm now almost certain they got the wrong person."

I think we all are. I didn't believe it until I was able to use powers in relation to my father.

"I know my dad. My dad is STUCK in my Seibzehn! That's why its important I get back and make sure that he doesn't die. I don't have any powers, I'm just good with machines and good in the air."

I'm certain you'll be able to, but for now, there's no way for us to get back.

"So this is a summer camp for kids on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Joy... I'd rather just punch Bart."

[... Fuu's got nothin'.]

Maybe you should take this chance to get something to eat and spend a while resting...

She sniffs and looks over at the area, her face turning slightly green

"Smells like mostly meat. I know what's in the Solaris food tins and can't really eat that."

We've got plenty of other foods outside of meat, you don't need to worry about that.

"Its not Solaran food packs, right? I mean they don't feed us people here, right?"

... I am fairly certain they don't serve us people.

"Well... That's a step up from most places back home."

[Loooooooooooong pause.]

W-why on Earth would they feed you people?!
