[The camera of the necklace is flopping in all directions as a pair of hands are working on getting a feed. Grumbling can be heard from the recipient as a redhead comes into view, looking particularly put out from the way everything seems to be going.]
This on? Oh good, it's on. And this is why I don't have a phone...
So uh... [She rubs her head a little.] I guess I'm new here, recently claimed yadda yadda. I'm Akane Hino, and by dang I'm giving up my last name. I'm in Cabin 9 and I just want to ask something:
Is there any normal sports stuff here? I'm looking for volleyballs in particular cause I can't get rusty with my gameplay.
As for everything else, I think I've caught up on the whole being a demi-god thing. Though I guess from how my life has been for a while this is kind of weird even for me.
So uh yeah, I guess if you want to talk just lemme know. Otherwise I'm going to be wandering the camp for a while.
[With that, Akane switches off the signal after some more fumbling. If you want to meet her, she is also wandering around the area looking rather lost and kind of put out, her hands stuck into the pockets of her jeans and looking a touch sullen in her orange half-blood t-shirt. Intercept her maybe?]

It might be a nice break from fighting, actually.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Akane. My name is Ssilissa.
no subject
Nice to uh... how do you pronounce that? Sorry, I am terrible at English.
no subject
[She switches to video.]
Ssilissa. [There's a bit of hissing involved.] And it's... not really English. Just the closest I could get to "Millicent" when I was little.
But yes. I don't know about what happened in your hometown, but if it's any indication, I was an aether-pirate. Er, space pirate, I suppose you'd say.
no subject
Really? That's different. Definitely not something a Legendary Warrior would deal with.
no subject
It was... interesting. But I liked it. I miss the rest of the crew sometimes.
no subject
Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm missing my friends but I know they'll be okay.
no subject
I'm mostly just worried because they'll need to find a new alchemist. But yes, I know they'll be fine. They were with friends when I was brought here, anyway.
no subject
Hmm that would probably be a problem. I'm sure everything'll be okay.

[That means...]
You're a child of Hephaestus?
Re: [video]
Cabin 9, that's me. Wheee. Akane Hino, the most machine-illiterate girl in the world.
[But she smiles and shakes her head.]
I'm Asami, pleased to meet you- and so far I'm the only other person in our cabin.
Re: [video]
[Grinning and giving her a thumbs up.]
You look pretty cool, Asami-san! Or should I be calling you big sis? Can't say I'd get used to it.
Re: [video]
[What's that?]
And just Asami's fine- I can't say I'd really know what to do if people suddenly started calling me their sister.
Re: [video]
[Ah the wonderful differences between worlds.]
Ah okay, Asami. I'm fine with that. [Akane figured she was from a world that didn't have last names or honorifics. She certainly didn't seem to be worried though.]
So what are we supposed to do in this cabin anyhow besides look at all the tools and such?
Re: [video]
[I know, right?]
I think mostly we sleep in them. I know I haven't been in there much if I can help it.
Re: [video]
Ah, okay. Well I guess that's something then. If we're not meant to deal with the upkeep that much since it looks like a factory.
