Ah... oh. Hello. [The young woman's voice sounds uncertain but curious.] Wow... Sorry. I think my head is still spinning from all of this. I feel like I'm so far from home.

[Though she supposes... she is. New York was pretty far from Japan.]

I don't really understand what's going on but I do know they must be wrong about me. I'm no demigod. And if I am, it would be helpful if they could at least tell me who I'm suppose to be related to.

[She feels more lost as she speaks. She can't feel her Personas presences, which distresses her on its own. And she doesn't know anything about Greek gods or demigods or speaking English or...]

Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Yukiko Amagi. I guess I'm not the only one with all these questions, huh?

I'm a second year. [Or... was, technically. She'll be entering her third soon.]

Mm. [Yeah she misses her Persona too so she just quietly agrees to whatever he was gonna say. She can sympathize if he misses his abilities too, whatever they are.] I have no idea. Are they based on powers we had before or are they random? I don't know much about Greek mythology so...

Oh, getting ready for senior year, huh? It's gonna get pretty intense. You'd better prepare yourself!

[Persona users can sense each other, right? So they probably know about each other already...]

I think it's the former. I mean, I haven't exactly had the chance to try anything yet, but... it'd make more sense, right? [The cabin he's staying in has thunder clapping at random intervals. There has to be a connection between his Persona and his new abilities.] My friend Mitsuru's pretty well-versed on that stuff. If you get a hold of her, you can ask. I don't remember all of the gods myself.

[fandancing]

Sounds scary! [She laughs. He made it sound so rigorous. She supposed it would be... though more so for some of her friends than for her. Like Chie and Yosuke.]

Mm! I might. Or I might just try all the different training areas and see what works or if anything feels right. I suppose asking your friend might be a good place to start. [Friend she's already speaking to so hey, good call.]

Heh, only around exam time! [He laughs too, thinking of how much Junpei freaked out every time the scores were posted.]

Hey, that's a great idea! Are you into training? [Lord, look how his eyes just lit up.] You should do more than just what Chiron teaches you! Who knows when we'll need to use our abilities for something?

That's okay then. [She's good at exams! She'll have to be a full time tutor to her friends though, come to think of it...

Wow, he looks fired up.] Training? Oh... not particularly but... I feel like I'll have to learn to be in a place like this. It couldn't hurt, especially if I have to learn how to use new abilities. And you're right. This place might be dangerous. [In her experience when dealing with gods, it usually was....]

Yeah, you definitely don't wanna be defenseless in this kinda situation. We still don't know what we're being prepared for, anyway. There's a competition coming up, but other than that...

Hey, we all have to start somewhere. [Trying to encourage her to participate!] I've only played it a few times before, during PE. It's a pretty active competition! Not the same as boxing, but still good for you.

[He nods.] Yes. I have a few friends here too, from the same place. Most of us go to Gekkoukan High.

That's true... [Well, maybe... but she isn't all that athletic for stuff like that...] Is boxing something you like to do?

I see. It was a really nice school so it must've been a lot of fun there.

Yeah, definitely. [He grins with his reply.] I'm on the boxing team at school. Does Yasogami High have one?

Oh, have you visited our school before? I've been to a few different ones for boxing matches, but I don't think we've gone to Yasogami High.

[fandancing]

I see. That sounds really exciting. [He must be really good at it!] I don't think so. We have a basketball and soccer team, though. Tennis too. Things like that. Our school isn't very big. [They don't even have a pool. :(]

Yes, we did. We went on a class trip there. We toured the whole school and saw some places in town, too. It was amazing. [Rural girl right here.]

It can be! Especially on the day of a big match! [He laughs heartily, with some pride in his voice.] Hell, even the training's fun, if you know how to make it that way!

Hey, don't worry about it! Those are great sports too. I probably would've joined the soccer team, if I had more time. Are you in any clubs, Amagi?

[That is sad! :( Aki likes swimming too. There should be a Hot Springs Club...]

Really? Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it! You should come back sometime. I hope you got to try out some of the food places on the strip. Hagakure has great ramen, and there's this beef bowl restaurant too...

[Pfffft. She kinda snorts at his enthusiasm. It was just kind of enduring... and it reminded her way too much of Chie.]

Oh, me? No, I'm not... See, my family runs an inn in town and after school I usually go straight there to help out. [Or investigate ~*murders*~ but since that was solved... yes. Inn training it is.] I plan to take over it someday as manager when I'm old enough.

[Yukiko would even know how to run a Hot Springs Club!]

We did eat at a small restaurant that Rise-chan recommend... I don't remember what the name of it was.

Wow! Really? [He sounds impressed!] Heh, most people our age don’t have their future careers planned out at this point. Did you always know you were gonna take over the inn?

You know, if they just provided some fresh meat and other ingredients, we could make our own ramen and everything right here. I don’t think the meals are balanced enough as they are, anyway.

[fandancing]

[Expect a laughing fit when she makes that connection, to be sure.]

Sort of... It's a long story. The important thing is that I made the decision to do it all by myself. [Whether it had been set in stone or not... she had chosen to do it and that's what mattered to her.]

That's a really good idea. Do you think we could ask for it? Or... maybe go into the city and find something? It's New York City, right? I'm sure they'd have something like that. [She didn't know much about the United States let alone New York City but... surely they'd have basic ingredients for ramen.]

[Unseen to her, he smiles in encouragement. She might be able to hear it in his voice.] Of course! If you don’t feel passion for what you wanna do, then it’s not the right choice. You have to put your whole heart and soul into it!

Well, I can ask Chiron, but I doubt the gods’ll let us leave camp. That’s what the monsters are there for – to keep us in here. I think I’ve heard of pizza being mentioned as a New York specialty, but hey, if they have ramen, I’d be up for trying it out!
