[Worick has been around long enough to make note of people making broadcasts via their-actually quite stylish-necklaces. The first time had been a surprise, but by the third time he witnessed it, he caught on and paid special attention to how the necklace worked. He wouldn't want everyone's first impression of him to be of one who is technologically impaired.

So once he's certain he knows the ins and outs of the necklace's capabilities, he'll make a little broadcast of his own. The visual given is of a man with long hair and an eye patch. He has a particularly large smile on his face for someone who has just been abducted by Gods.]

If I didn't know better I'd think this is all just a very vivid hallucination fueled by intense amounts of alcohol. Which is strange because I know for a fact that I didn't get to drink a drop last night. I'm also pretty use not even my subconscious mind would come up with something as hideous as this camp uniform. [A hint of orange comes and goes from view at Worick plucks petulantly at his shirt.]

Is there a handbook or something for new comers like me? I can't say I really know this camp thing is supposed to work. Names Worick by the way. It's nice to meet you all.

[Action]

[After the broadcast Worick can be found standing outside Cabin Hermes. If he had any cigarettes he would definitely be having a smoke. But seeing as he doesn't he's making himself content with people watching. If his eye happens to linger a moment or two on men with dark hair and ladies with dark skin, well...one can hope his isn't the only familiar face hanging around.]

Nina said Dr. Theo was having some trouble with a tagged guy who kept showing up at the clinic. So I went with her to take care of that.

[Now this is a whole new level of messy he didn't expect. Wasn't bringing them here from all sorts of worlds enough? Did they have to mess with his memories, too? Hm. Well, it is what it is.]

[Worick remembers the event Nic mentions, but that doesn't make any of this make sense. If that really was the last thing he remembers...it would just about match up with Nic saying he's been here a month.]

But that was weeks ago...If you've been here the whole time who was it that was with me? Because he was walking around looking exactly like you.

[Nicolas, eloquent as ever, shrugs. He's got nothin for you there, man.]

[You're such a glowing pillar of support, Nic. Really. And Worick will try to seem less disturbed by this than he is.]

...Right. Well you've missed all the excitement, buddy.

Looks like it.

[Anyone who hunts down twilights and is actual trouble to any of the families is bound to be interesting to fight. Now he's just feeling cheated. After all, hellhounds don't really compare that well. Even if the one almost killed him.]

I did get to see for myself that the monsters are real, though.

[Worick looks at him for a long moment before sighing and shaking his head. He's not even surprised.]

Of course you did. But you don't seem to be missing any pieces. Are they really as bad as the gossip makes them sound?

Some. There was a rabid dog the size of a pick-up.

[Nic shrugs. He isn't missing any pieces - so far. And if he wasn't as sturdy as he is, he might well be dead.]

No shit? Let me guess, you went charging in with no back-up and absolutely no idea what to expect.

How was I supposed to know about that thing?

[And anyway, he survived. That should count for something. And stuff.]

What part of 'there are monsters surrounding the camp' that didn't make sense to you? Unless you were too busy planning your get-away to focus on what you were told.

[He raises a knowing brow. Really it's a good thing he's here. Someone needs to pay attention to the little details.]

What, someone kidnaps me and I'm supposed to believe every word they say?

[And it's not like he didn't have reasons to want to leave, besides.]

You could have at least veered on the side of caution, Nic.

[You've gone a month without his nagging so enjoy it while it lasts.]

[He's just. Going to give you a flat look now. Hello, Worick, do you realize who you're talking to?]

[Worick just sighs and rolls his eye. Why does he even bother?]

Whatever. Anything else I should know about this place that they don't tell you?

[There's a pause there. And it could just be thinking - maybe it is. Or maybe it's a matter that is somehow important, that holds some weight. At least, to Nic it does. His eyes drop down, look past Worick and elsewhere. The reluctance to answer even shows in his hands, for that first moment.]

Everyone's human here. No matter what we are back home. Half god, sure...

[But wholly human for the rest. Zero percent twilight. His hands falter as if he didn't really make up his mind to stop there, and he looks Worick in the eye, hoping he won't have to spell it out, just because it's always been who he was as much as what, and it's hard to stare the fact of 'not anymore' in the face.]

[Worick can tell something is bothering him by the time Nicolas starts signing. His movements are usually smooth and to the point. But now they seem reluctant. He watches his partner warily.

Luckily, Nic doesn't have to worry about spelling it all out if the wide eyed look Worick is giving is anything to go by. He hadn't been sure what to expect but somehow this hadn't even made it on the list.]

So...what you're saying is you...aren't a...[He trails off as well, somehow unable to say it. Instead he switches over to sign language.]

I guess that answers my question about the Celebre.

[He can't help being a little bit grateful, just for him neither saying nor signing it. Perhaps it's pathetic, not wanting to face something like this. Not wanting to name it, out loud or otherwise. But it's always been his universal constant, more basic and more ingrained in his bones than his name or his birthdate. And now it's just gone.]

They don't have it here. ...and I don't need it, looks like.

[Another pause, but less stalling and less hesitation this time.]

Nobody even knows what the tags mean.

[He supposes it's a good thing, overall. They won't have to deal with the usual commotion the tags cause. Nic won't get dirty looks from people whenever he passes by. Worick won't have to grit his teeth every time he hears someone talk about leaving the tagged out with the trash.

But...he knows, at least in general what those tags mean to Nic. They're how he identifies himself. They're who he is. Worick doesn't have to ask why he's still wearing them.]

Nic... [He pauses for a moment.] At least I don't have to worry about your stupid ass overdosing all the time.

[And then he swats him on the back of the head. He's amazing at this moral support thing.]

[He could've dodged that. But he didn't. It doesn't bother him, because it's Worick, and Worick gets to do things like that. And he supposes that's a good point, supposes he knows that he shouldn't overdose, anyway. But with the Celebre gone, and the poisoning gone... what is he supposed to do with all this time ahead of him?

But that's not a question that's signed or spoken. No done thing, not between them. It's just what he's got now, so he'll sort it out as he goes along.

So, what now?

[Because Worick is the guy with the plans.]

[Worick could probably take a few educated guesses at what Nicolas is thinking. He knows him well enough. But he doesn't. Those thoughts and feelings are all baggage Nic has to deal with himself. Just like Worick does with his...]

Well...we'll settle in for now. Not much else can be done. But we'll keep our eyes open. Maybe once we all finish dealing with these monsters they'll let us go.

Guess we'll see.

[He doubts it.]

Do you know anything about these gods?

[He didn't. But then, mythology isn't exactly something that's ever come up in his life.]

I read a few myths as a kid, but it's been years. Do you know if they have some kind of library around? I can dig up some research, maybe.

[He remembered precious little from his lessons because he hadn't been all that interested. Instead he'd been thinking how to make his tutor's life even harder. Not that...he'd admit any of this.]

Yeah, at Cabin 6.

[He only knows where that is cause it's near the armory. And he points, helpful as ever.]

And that's where I'm staying.

[Since we're at pointing. See the building with the crappy red paintjob? Yep. That's the one.]

[He follows the point of Nic's finger with his eye and stares.]

It looks...homey. [Yeah...he's got nothing.]

Anyways, I'll go to the library and see what I can dig up.

[Nic shrugs at the comment. It's the place where his bed is. That's the only reason he's there.

And then he gives a nod.]

I'll see you later.

[He's really not interested in tagging along to the library.]
