Guess you haven't been claimed yet and that you missed the meeting with Chiron and Mr.D. It's kind of hard to pretend that they aren't our parents when they claim us and suddenly you get new powers you never had before.

New abilities? [He raises an eyebrow. Now that this kid mentioned it, he could use his abilities at all after getting them back in his world.]

If we knew the full story ourselves, we’d have no reason to hide it from you. Chiron can answer some questions, but I’m pretty sure the gods are the ones that have all the answers.

What’s the highest priority for you to know?

Leaving, and the identity of these so-called Gods, as well as the current events going around here.

[Those are easy to answer, fortunately. Akihiko relays them in a calm tone.]

We’re not allowed to leave. If you try to breach the boundaries of the camp, you’ll be attacked and killed by the monsters in the forest. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The gods are the same figures as the ones detailed in Greek mythology. Supposedly, we are related to them. Once you figure out which one you’re claimed by, you can start honing your new abilities.

As for current events, we’ll be going on a trip to New York City in a couple of days. There’s a set of rules we’re expected to follow for that too.

A few more. When will we meet them to gain these abilities? What happened to all equipment when coming here? And what do you mean we are going to New York? Wouldn't a place like this want to avoid as much public attention as possible?

Apparently, the gods think that going to the city would be an educational experience for us. [He shrugs.] Maybe this is their way of telling us we need to study more.

[Weapons, powers, it was clear he was dealing with beings similar to himself possibly, but these people didn't appear to be Contractors. This was still a mystery. Though at the mention of the shirt, he glances down at himself. Right...this stupid thing.]

Study what exactly? What point would it serve to go to what I assume is supposed to be the real world as a learning experience?

Study more about them, probably. We learned about Greek mythology in school, but it wasn’t covered in depth like Japanese mythology and folklore. Some people don’t even know who these gods are. It doesn’t sound like they exist in all of the other worlds.

They haven’t given us very many objectives in general. So this might be something we’ll have to figure out on our own. If you’ve never visited New York City before, now’s your chance to take a look around and explore some place new.

As for the rest of it? We don't know. What we do know is that we're going up to Olympus on the solstice, because the gods want to talk to us. I get the fun time of meeting my dad, Ares, after he claimed me after I challenged him to a fight. Isn't that great?

Also, by the way, dummy, we're all special, because we're here. You're not any more special or any more entitled to information just because you got all high and mighty about it.

Also, I'm not just some child. I'm Airi Ban, daughter of Ares. I fought demons and gods back home, before I came here, and I'm not the only one in this camp who saw battle before I arrived. And you know what? Once the shock of it all wore off?

I actually like that - I'm finally meeting other people who have been through the same stuff I have. I'm meeting people who understand it.

All of what you said matters little to me when I only asked for more information. If I truly wanted to waste my time in belittling everyone, which accomplishes absolutely nothing, I can think of several more methods. Rather than drag on this nonsense and continue to get on my nerves, either provide me with actual useful information, or leave my sight. I'm certainly not forcing you to speak to me.

As far as I can tell it, the situation is this.

- We've been dragged here from our respective alternate worlds to be here. And I know they're alternate, because apparently in this world America has been its own country since the 1770s and in mine it's still a colony in 1851. Also the moon is apparently not inhabited here.
- We are told we're the children of the Greek gods. To the extent that this place is full of creatures from Greek myths and we ourselves seem to have strange powers we didn't before, I'm inclined to believe it.

I can understand a certain amount of disbelief. I was taught that the gods of the Greeks were pagan idols. But seeing as the evidence in support of it is rather overwhelming, I'm inclined to believe it.

I don't know, perhaps it's easier when I'm suddenly a different species and was brought to camp on a vehicle that hasn't been invented yet in my universe.

[This is a little sharper than Ssil usually is with new arrivals, but he's being awfully demanding.]

A good summary at any rate. [And fit perfectly with what everyone else had said before. Still, the existence of different worlds did bother him, yet made more sense as he mulled over the ideas compared with others here. Sharp maybe, but Hei wasn't going to argue that when results were given.] However, why would they bring us here now? For what purpose do we actually serve to them aside from being their "children."

I believe there was something about another group of demigods going missing. Presumably they brought us here to find them. I'm hoping we can get more details on the solstice, when we're apparently meant to go back to Olympus itself.

How are we going to find them though? Using those "powers" we either get now or later when the gods feel like it?

[In a sense, as stupid as that was, giving powers to possible threats wasn't a wise idea either, even if Hei assumed the gods could wipe the floor with them if they are powerful as he thought they were.]

As I said, I'm hoping the gods know something. My current working theory is that they're either dealing with some other threat or are hoping we'll have some perspective on the matter they don't, either from having lived in other worlds or from being at ground-level, as it were.

If they had the means and opportunity to solve the problem themselves and it was enough of a concern that we were called in otherwise, I would think they would have tried. Apparently bringing us here was... controversial.

To some extent, yes. It's... probably better to let those affected by it explain, if they want to.
