I'm kind of freaking out here.

So I've been having weird dreams lately about mechanics and plans and all of this. Today I found myself working on the heating coil of our stove in my Cabin and turned it into a Air Conditioner. I don't know how I did that, how it happened and certainly had no idea how I was able to cook something on a broken stove as well... that I fixed.

And to boot I've been coming up with plans, ideas. I've been trying to write them down and I can't, like they're THERE but I can't get it OUT OF MY HEAD.

I'm trying to go for a walk and clear my head but I keep looking at things and going "You know, that could be turned into a steam-powered ballista"--NO BAD AKANE!

Muttering can be heard under the blanket pile for a second.

"We're going to need to measure your punch strength first. So we can tune the hammer to be at least that strong. Do you know how strong you are?"

"Back home I was strong enough to block a punch from a monster ten times my size. So we should measure this to make sure of what I can do." mused Akane.

"Funny how it decides to show itself now."

"May need a pressure jack or some sort of scale. Don't really have the equipment here to do it precisely. I'm going to have to get out of bed for this, aren't I?"

"Well if you want. I mean, we're just brainstorming right?" Gingerly Akane found another chair and sat down carefully.

She pokes her head out and shakes it a bit.

"Now understand, I only know how to do this with lifting equipment, but generally we need to know how much pressure you put out. I think Rico used a heavy bag and a trainer, but the physical stuff is outside of my training. Once you get that in a quantifiable number, we can pick an accelerant to project the hammer forward to accent that punch. Then we can work on a housing that can handle the stress of it."

"I only got part of what you said, but I somehow understood it all. Okay, so I need to figure out how strong I am before we build this. Got it." Akane nodded, folding her arms. "Sounds great to me."

"Pretty much, otherwise it wouldn't be at peak efficiency and yeah, trying to use a weapon that isn't set up for you isn't any fun."

"Yeah and admittedly, swords aren't my idea of a good time."

"Mine either. I always fought with my gear."

[hotbloodedpower]

"Yeah. And I don't think we get an instinctive natural thingy with the blade either."

"I haven't gotten anything since I got here. I've just lost things."

She grumbles a bit.

"Yeah I'm missing something pretty important to myself. And I'm missing my friends too."

"Oh yeah, those bums aren't here either."

[hotbloodedpower]

"You don't get along with your friends I take it?"

[17thangel]

"I get along with Emmy, but she's too concerned with Fei... The others... They're all adults with dumb adult problems. Never knew many people my age. It really was just always me and my Seibzehn."

[hotbloodedpower]

"Huh. Well we now know one another. So that's something right? Even if they're not here, there's people to talk to at the camp."

"I guess. People never have been a thing I was good at understanding. They either go away, die, get brainwashed or are too busy. That's probably why I'm good with the mechanical stuff. But its nice to meet you."

[hotbloodedpower]

"It is nice to meet you. After all, we'll be living together for a while, so it's obvious that we'll need to get along, right?"

She nods a little.

"Sure, and when you get that data I'll help you figure out the schematics."

[hotbloodedpower]

"Great! Now I... need to figure out how to fix this chair I broke."

"Never was good with wood. Too fragile. I think you may be on your own there."

[hotbloodedpower]

"I'll figure it out then. No worries."

"Sorry I can't help there. Carpentry just... Yeah you really don't want to see that disaster."

[hotbloodedpower]

"Ah I get it. Thanks anyhow."

"No problem. I guess... I'm going back to bed or something."

She shrugs and lays back down.
